Project engineer/technician (HVAC)

PURPOSE
Submit to the customer a complete design of the equipment to be
manufactured by company based on the accepted bid documents. Upon client
engineer approval, release approved submittals into production and coordinate
the released project between the factory and the
client.
o
Read and interpret project specifications, mechanical plans and
electrical & control schematics; Select mechanical components such as fans,
heat exchanger, cooling & heating components,
etc;
o
Prepare submittal drawing request to Drafting, Refrigeration,
Electrical & Control, Departments (factory) to meet the specified mechanical
and control features;
o
Review documents provided by factory and prepare project
submittal;
o
Confirm final estimation based on required supplier quotations, and
make sure project costs match sales estimate and
quotation;
o
Send project submittal file, and coordinate with representative
(answer questions, revise submittal, provide additional information) until
submittal is approved;
o
Prepare a release package for the project submittal, assemble all
final estimates & supplier quotations, and coordinate delivery dates with
Order Desk;
o
Coordinate Kick Off Release Meeting (KORM) and release into
production;
o Address issues arising in the production phase and initiate production change order as required.
Competencies and requirements:
o
Scholarship
in Mechanical or Building or Building Systems
Technology;
o
Basic AutoCAD;
o
2-4 years of experience (if you are engineer) or 5-7 years of experience (if technician)
of any company that manufactures air handling or heat recovery units or air
conditioning products; must know at
least one (1) component;
o
English fluency mandatory & Functional French
mandatory;
o
Professional
engineer licence or technical licence;
o
Customer oriented services;
o
Rigorous follow-up and
self-learner.
