ERP Data, Analytics and Reporting Lead

We are seeking a senior level SAP Data & Analytics consultant for a 6-12 month contract position starting ASAP. This is a Toronto based project with occasional trips onsite required (expenses paid). In this role you will lead the downstream conformance of EPM and Power BI reporting to new S/4HANA structures for clients SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Edition program. Description: Owns the reporting and analytics layer that sits outside S/4HANA — the information BES and engagement leadership actually use to run the business. Accountable for the target data model, the conformance of downstream models to new S/4 master data and enterprise structures, the continued Oracle EPM interlock, and a Power BI estate that reconciles to source. This is the workstream the business will judge the program by, because most of the firm will experience S/4HANA through a report rather than a transaction. What you will do: Own the analytics and reporting strategy end to end: target data architecture, semantic layer, and the boundary between S/4 embedded reporting and downstream Power BI Own the retrofit of all downstream data models and reporting to new S/4 master data and enterprise structures — company code, profit centre, cost centre, functional area and engagement dimensions — including rebuilt semantic models, historical comparability and the mapping of legacy structures forward Own the downstream conformance of Oracle EPM to new S/4 master data and enterprise structures — rebuilding EPM hierarchies, dimensions and mappings to consume S/4 as source, and managing the transition of planning and consolidation onto the new structures Own the Power BI estate for the program — data models, workspace and governance model, refresh and performance, and the migration of existing reports to new sources Own reporting requirements for BES and engagement leadership: engagement profitability, WIP and realisation, utilisation, pipeline and financial performance Define and govern the KPI and metric dictionary — single definitions, agreed owners, and the reconciliation rules that stop two reports disagreeing Own data governance for reporting: lineage, quality measures, certified datasets and access model Own report rationalisation — decide what gets rebuilt, what gets retired, and hold that line Manage workstream scope, plan, deliverables, RAID and team; represent the workstream at Design Authority Council Your qualifications: 12–15+ years total; 8+ in data and analytics; 4+ leading a data/reporting workstream on a major transformation. Led an analytics and reporting workstream on a full-lifecycle ERP program, through go-live Has led a downstream conformance effort — rebuilding EPM, warehouse or BI models onto a new ERP master data and enterprise structures. Materially different from building new models on a greenfield source Deep Power BI at enterprise scale: semantic modelling, DAX, workspace governance, performance — not report authoring Modern data platform architecture (Azure/Fabric, Databricks, Snowflake or equivalent) and ELT design Delivered reporting off S/4HANA or comparable ERP source data, with real understanding of the underlying finance data structures EPM integration experience — Oracle EPM/Hyperion, or equivalent planning and consolidation platform Business fluency: can sit with a partner or engagement leader, extract what they actually need, and say no to the rest Preferred: Professional services or partnership environments, with engagement economics literacy (realisation, utilisation, WIP, leverage); SAP Datasphere or SAC exposure; S/4HANA Public Cloud data extraction patterns and their limits; data governance certification;

Lead the reporting and analytics strategy for an SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud implementation, focusing on downstream conformance of EPM and Power BI. Accountable for the target data model, semantic layer, and the migration of legacy reporting structures to new enterprise structures.

Requires 12-15+ years of total experience, with at least 8 years in data and analytics and 4 years leading major ERP transformation workstreams. Must have deep expertise in Power BI at enterprise scale and experience with EPM integration and S/4HANA finance data structures.
