YOUR ROLE Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Reach Stacker Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, stacking, loading, and unloading of shipping containers using a reach stacker. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the container terminal. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Operate a reach stacker to move, stack, load, and unload shipping containers. * Perform daily pre-operational inspections of assigned equipment. * Report mechanical issues or maintenance requirements promptly. * Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures. * Work closely with dispatchers, truck drivers, and terminal personnel to support daily operations. * Position containers accurately according to operational requirements. * Maintain a clean and safe work area. * Perform other related duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED * Previous experience operating a Reach Stacker is strongly preferred. * Candidates without reach stacker experience must have: * A valid forklift operator certification; and * A minimum of 2–3 years of forklift operating experience, preferably on large-capacity equipment. * Fluency in French is mandatory. * Willingness and ability to work outdoors in all four seasons. * Good physical condition and ability to work in an industrial environment. * Strong safety awareness, reliability, and teamwork skills. ASSETS * Valid Class 1 or Class 3 driver's licence. * Experience in a container terminal, port, transportation, or logistics environment. * Experience operating other heavy material handling equipment. WORKING CONDITIONS * Primarily outdoor work throughout all seasons. * Fast-paced industrial environment. * Personal protective equipment provided as required.
