Engagement Type: Full-time contract, 40 hrs/week, approximately 3 months Location: Remote (Canada-based candidates) Overview We're looking for a mid-level/senior FPGA Design Engineer to join a well-established electronic design engineering consultancy for a defined 90-day engagement. Our client has built a reputation over decades for taking on complex, high-stakes hardware and firmware projects — from medical devices to advanced electronics — for companies ranging from startups to Fortune 500s. This is general logic programming work, well suited to someone with solid, hands-on FPGA experience who wants to contribute to interesting, technically substantial projects without the noise of a large in-house team. Responsibilities Develop and implement digital logic designs using VHDL Work within the Xilinx Vivado design environment Support general-purpose FPGA logic programming tasks as assigned by the project team Collaborate remotely with a distributed engineering team Requirements 5+ years of professional FPGA design experience Hands-on experience with Xilinx chips and the Vivado toolchain Strong VHDL coding skills Comfortable working independently in a remote, contract-based role
