Position Overview: As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic at CFT Group, you’ll play a key role in keeping our operation running strong. You’ll maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a diverse fleet from loaders and roll-off trucks to trailers and heavy machinery ensuring every piece of equipment is safe, reliable, and ready to perform. The pay range for this position is $32-45 per hour depending on skills, experience, and certification(s). Key Responsibilities: * Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, trucks, trailers, and loaders * Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and driveline issues with accuracy and efficiency * Complete both shop-based and field repairs to minimize downtime * Conduct inspections and identify potential problems before they lead to breakdowns * Maintain detailed service records and parts documentation * Operate safely and follow all company policies and procedures * Keep tools, equipment, and work areas organized and in top condition Qualifications: * Minimum 5 years of experience as a heavy equipment or truck mechanic * Strong diagnostic skills across diesel, hydraulic, and electrical systems * Valid driver’s license is required * Comfortable working outdoors in all conditions * Independent, reliable, and committed to doing it right the first time Why Work With Us: * Group benefits plan – includes medical & dental care * Annual boot allowance * Hiring referral bonuses – $250 for each successful hire you recommend * Growth opportunities in a sustainability-driven company * Make a real impact on your community and the environment
