What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience Group insurance Employee discounts across all company divisions Company social events On-site parking Full-time, permanent position Day shift, Monday to Friday Work schedule: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Global Operations | FOB / CIF / DDU / DDP | Ocean Freight / Air Freight / Express Position Summary The Sea Logistics Coordinator – Transport & Customs Specialist plays a key role in managing international logistics operations, with a strong focus on sourcing and imports from China and Asia. This position oversees shipments under multiple Incoterms (FOB, CIF, DDU, DDP), ensuring efficient transportation, accurate documentation, customs compliance, and cost control. Working closely with buyers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, suppliers, and clients, the successful candidate will maintain daily purchase order (PO) shipment reports, ensure freight costs are entered before PO receipt, verify customs classifications through B3 reviews, and support ERP item creation. Key Responsibilities Buyer & Client Coordination Collaborate closely with buyers on all logistics-related matters. Maintain clear, proactive, and timely communication with buyers and internal departments. Serve as the primary logistics contact for shipment status and delivery schedules. Provide shipment and PO status updates to customers when required. Shipment Execution & Freight Management Manage international shipments under FOB, CIF, DDU, and DDP terms. Coordinate primarily ocean freight shipments while arranging air freight when necessary. Obtain and compare freight quotations for FOB shipments and recommend the most cost-effective solution. Monitor shipments from origin through final delivery. Freight Cost Management Collect all freight and logistics costs associated with each purchase order. Enter freight costs into the ERP system before PO receipt. Coordinate with buyers regarding freight cost allocation when necessary. Express & Parcel Shipments Arrange and monitor express shipments for samples and documentation. Select appropriate courier services and confirm deliveries. Shipping Documentation & Customs Broker Coordination Prepare and review Commercial Invoices (CI), Packing Lists (PL), Bills of Lading (B/L), and Air Waybills (AWB). Verify shipping documentation with buyers before submitting to customs brokers. Work with customs brokers to resolve documentation issues. Update and reissue documents as required. Customs Classification & B3 Verification Review B3 customs entries received from customs brokers. Verify that HS Codes are consistent across: The ERP system Commercial Invoice B3 Customs Entry Identify discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions with buyers and customs brokers to ensure customs compliance. Purchase Order & Shipment Reporting Maintain accurate purchase order shipment reports. Update shipment status daily for ocean, air, and parcel shipments. Share reports with buyers, internal stakeholders, and customers as required. ERP Item Creation Support Create new items in the ERP system for buyers. Ensure product information is accurate, including: Product descriptions HS Codes Packaging information Dimensions Weight Validate all information with buyers before purchase order release. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or import/export coordination. Extensive experience sourcing products from China and managing supply chain logistics throughout Asia. Strong knowledge of Incoterms (FOB, CIF, DDU, DDP). Experience with ocean freight, air freight, customs clearance, and express shipments. Solid understanding of import documentation and customs procedures. Experience working with freight forwarders and customs brokers. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
