SAP ABAP / BOPF / CDS Developer

Our client is seeking an experienced SAP ABAP / BOPF / CDS Developer to support a major SAP initiative in Calgary. This role requires a strong technical consultant with deep expertise in SAP ECC development, SAP HANA data modeling, and performance optimization. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and enhance SAP solutions using ABAP, BOPF, CDS Views, and SAP HANA Views. Develop and maintain custom programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and conversions within SAP ECC. Build optimized CDS Views and HANA Views to support analytics, reporting, and high-performance applications. Develop APIs, OData services, and integrations with SAP and non-SAP applications. Optimize SQL performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues. Collaborate with functional consultants, architects, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Participate in code reviews, unit testing, documentation, and production support. Required Skills & Experience 10+ years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience. Strong expertise in ABAP Objects, BOPF, CDS Views, and SAP HANA Views. Proven experience working with SAP ECC, including custom development and enhancements. Strong knowledge of SQL, performance tuning, debugging, and SAP Data Dictionary. Experience developing OData services, RFCs, BAPIs, IDocs, and Web Services. Familiarity with SAP transport management and the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Candidates should have 10+ years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience and strong expertise in ABAP Objects, BOPF, CDS Views, and SAP HANA Views. Proven experience with SAP ECC and knowledge of SQL performance tuning and debugging is also required.
