Acunor is Hiring: Data Governance Lead – P&C Insurance Location: USA And CANADA(Remote) Job Type: Full Time Experience: 8–15 Years We are looking for a Data Governance Lead with strong Insurance domain expertise to design and implement enterprise-wide data governance programs across cloud and on-premises environments. 🔹 Define and implement enterprise data governance frameworks and operating models 🔹 Establish data ownership, stewardship, governance councils, and accountability structures 🔹 Develop business glossaries, data dictionaries, metadata standards, and canonical data models 🔹 Drive data quality initiatives including profiling, validation, monitoring, remediation, and governance KPIs 🔹 Partner with underwriting, claims, actuarial, compliance, finance, and analytics teams 🔹 Implement governance solutions using Microsoft Purview, Azure Databricks, Unity Catalog, Synapse, and Data Factory 🔹 Support data classification, privacy, security, compliance, and audit readiness initiatives Must Have Skills ✔ 8–12 years of Data Governance, Data Management, or Data Quality experience ✔ Strong Insurance domain knowledge including Policy, Claims, Underwriting, Billing, Customer, and Regulatory Reporting data ✔ Experience defining governance operating models, stewardship frameworks, and governance workflows ✔ Strong knowledge of Data Quality Management and Metadata Management ✔ Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview, Azure Data Platform technologies, and governance tools such as Collibra, Ataccama, Informatica Axon/EDC, or Alation ✔ Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills Preferred Skills Experience leading governance and data quality teams Knowledge of PII, PHI, PCI, privacy, retention, and compliance requirements Experience driving governance adoption across large enterprise environments

The Data Governance Lead will design and implement enterprise-wide data governance programs across cloud and on-premises environments. This includes defining frameworks, establishing data ownership, and driving data quality initiatives.

Candidates must have 8-12 years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, or Data Quality, with strong knowledge of the insurance domain. Hands-on experience with relevant tools and excellent stakeholder management skills are also required.
