Position Details: Echo NDE is currently seeking a certified NDT Technician with UTI/MT/PT to support our Operations in Edmonton and Calgary, with additional project support throughout Alberta. Responsibilities Set up, calibrate, and operate UT, MT, and PT equipment to ensure accurate and reliable inspection results in field conditions. Perform surface and volumetric NDT Inspections using ultrasonic, magnetic particle, and penetrant testing methods in accordance with approved procedures and applicable codes/standards (e.g., ASME, CSA). Inspect welds, piping, pressure equipment, and structural components for discontinuities and defects. Interpret and evaluate inspection results against applicable acceptance criteria and clearly communicate findings. Accurately complete and submit field reports, ensuring all documentation is thorough, organized, and submitted in a timely manner. Maintain a high level of safety awareness in dynamic field environments, adhering to all company and client safety policies and procedures. Collaborate effectively with clients, operations teams, and other technicians to support efficient project execution. Requirements Ultrasonic Testing UT1 CGSB Certification. Magnetic Particle Testing MT2 CGSB Certification. Liquid Penetrant Testing PT2 CGSB Certification. Demonstrated experience performing UT, MT, and PT inspections in field environments (oil & gas, pipeline, or industrial settings preferred). Strong working knowledge of applicable codes and standards (e.g., ASME, CSA) and ability to interpret acceptance criteria. Resides locally to Calgary or Edmonton, AB. Willingness and availability to support call-out work, including evenings, weekends, and short-notice assignments. Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract and ability to travel to various job sites as required. Ability to work independently in fast-paced, high-demand environments with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail with solid problem-solving and decision-making skills. Physically fit and capable of working in various environmental conditions (heights, confined spaces, outdoor weather conditions). Strong communication skills with the ability to complete clear and accurate field reports. Why work with Echo NDE?
