About the Role As a Mechanical Designer at Advanced Material Handling, you will play a vital role in our engineering and design team. Key Responsibilities Design Development: Create detailed 3D models and technical drawings using CAD software, ensuring designs meet project specifications and industry standards. Collaboration: Work closely with the fabrication, sales, and engineering teams to translate customer requirements into feasible designs. Blueprint Analysis: Analyze project blueprints and customer requirements to ensure the accuracy and functionality of designs. Problem Solving: Identify and resolve design challenges to optimize efficiency and manufacturability. Quality Control: Conduct design reviews to verify accuracy, compliance with standards, and readiness for production. Documentation: Maintain and update technical documentation, including BOMs (Bill of Materials) and revision records. Innovation: Recommend and implement design improvements to enhance product performance and reduce costs. Requirements Education: Diploma or degree in Mechanical Design, Drafting, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 3 years in mechanical design, preferably in material handling or a similar industry. Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks). Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
