The Role The Shipper/Receiver/Shop Helper is responsible for the critical aspects of projects including the coordination of shipping and receiving of purchased materials and components. Maintaining a clean, organized operation. Early start, late finish, weekend work when required to keep production on track. Key Responsibilities Receive purchased products and verify against purchase order requirements Receive customer-supplied products and verify against customer requirements Generate packing slips, calculate weights, determine dimensions Ensure shipments are packaged according to customer requirements Coordinate shipments with customers and carriers Maintain daily shipping log Maintain shipping supply inventory Work in accordance with the quality management system ASME/ABSA Work in accordance with documented procedures and complete all applicable records Maintain production flow Assist with cutting pipe to required length using a bandsaw/plasma cutter What You Bring High school diploma or GED equivalent Post-secondary education in mechanical or engineering technology is considered an asset Minimum 2 years of computer experience Experience with receiving shipping, inspection and testing, traceability, nonconformance management, corrective and preventive actions, document control, records management, and production flow processes Valid forklift certification Experience cutting pipes to required lengths using a bandsaw or plasma cutter is considered an asset Experience with heavy equipment, including loaders, telehandlers and overhead cranes considered an asset Knowledge of ASME / ABSA standards Familiarity with pipe grades, schedules, flange, and fittings is considered an asset Thank you for your interest in Advanced Flow Systems. The Shipper/Receiver/Shop Helper is responsible for coordinating the shipping and receiving of materials and maintaining an organized operation. This includes verifying products against orders, generating packing slips, and ensuring compliance with quality management systems.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, with post-secondary education in mechanical or engineering technology considered an asset. A minimum of 2 years of computer experience and valid forklift certification are required, along with experience in shipping and receiving processes.
