Job Description On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is seeking an Agile Business Systems Analyst to support a portfolio of confidential healthcare technology and infrastructure modernization initiatives. The successful consultant will work across multiple concurrent projects, supporting requirements gathering, business process analysis, stakeholder engagement, documentation, Agile/Product Owner support, solution validation, and implementation readiness. The role requires a BSA who is comfortable operating in technical environments and can bridge business needs with infrastructure, application, data, and operational delivery teams. Responsibilities Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business, functional, non-functional, and operational requirements. Support multiple concurrent healthcare technology and infrastructure projects. Facilitate discovery sessions, stakeholder workshops, requirements reviews, and process discussions. Document current state, future state, gaps, business impacts, risks, dependencies, assumptions, and decision points. Support Agile delivery activities, including backlog refinement, user stories, acceptance criteria, prioritization, and Product Owner support where required. Translate business and operational needs into clear requirements for technical teams, project managers, architects, vendors, and delivery stakeholders. Support business process updates, operational procedures, client correspondence, solution validation, and implementation readiness materials. Support projects involving infrastructure modernization/storage migration. Assist with testing preparation, UAT planning, requirements traceability, issue clarification, and stakeholder sign-off. Produce clear, structured documentation aligned with public sector healthcare and Ministry-style governance expectations. Identify risks, gaps, dependencies, and areas requiring decision or escalation. Required Experience And Skills 7+ years of Business Systems Analyst experience in complex technology environments. Experience supporting infrastructure, application, platform, data, and/or enterprise modernization projects. BC public sector healthcare experience is required. Experience working in Agile delivery environments. Experience acting as, supporting, or partnering closely with Product Owners. Strong requirements gathering, workshop facilitation, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to work with both business and technical stakeholders. Experience documenting workflows, business rules, current/future state processes, gaps, risks, and implementation impacts. Strong analytical skills with the ability to bring structure to ambiguous or evolving project requirements. Ability to support multiple projects concurrently in a fractional allocation model. Strong written communication skills and ability to produce clear business and technical documentation. Experience within strict project governance, project documentation, privacy/security considerations, and regulated healthcare environments. Experience supporting technical/infrastructure-focused initiatives is highly desirable. Experience with data modernization, character encoding modernization, system integration, operational process change, or enterprise application enhancements is an asset. CBAP, CCBA, CSPO, CSM, Agile, Product Owner, or related certification is an asset. Affinity Earn Know someone who’s great for this, or any of our open roles?
