Job Description On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is seeking a Cyber Security Senior Business Analyst. The successful candidate will support enterprise digital strategy, planning, and performance initiatives by leading stakeholder engagement, requirements management, business process analysis, impact assessments, readiness planning, and organizational change activities across multiple business units and operational sites. They will play a key role in driving business readiness and adoption for enterprise technology and cybersecurity initiatives, supporting organizational digital transformation goals. Working closely with business, operational, cybersecurity, infrastructure, architecture, and technical delivery teams, they will help ensure the successful implementation, transition, and adoption of new capabilities across the organization. Responsibilities Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures Partner with business, operational, site, and technology collaborators to elicit, prioritize, validate, and communicate business requirements, maintaining consistency with program objectives and operational needs. Serve as the primary liaison between business units and technical teams, translating business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, process flows, and supporting documentation. Lead collaborator analysis, business process reviews, impact assessments, and requirements-gathering activities to uncover business challenges, define scope, and support readiness planning across impacted sites and user communities. Maintain and continuously refine requirements, process documentation, and impact assessment artifacts throughout the program lifecycle to support evolving business and technical needs. Collaborate with project, change management, and technical delivery teams to support solution build, testing, deployment readiness, training, and successful adoption of new capabilities throughout the company. Qualifications University degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. 7-10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting large-scale enterprise transformation, cybersecurity, technology, or business readiness programs, with demonstrated expertise in collaborating with key parties, managing requirements, facilitation, and business process improvement. Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Able to assess complex organizational and technological challenges. Identify root causes and evaluate solution options. Communicate recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical collaborators. Proven experience leading collaborator analysis, impact assessments, business process mapping, requirements elicitation, and documentation spanning several business units and geographically dispersed teams. Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into clear, actionable deliverables and support solution build activities while ensuring alignment with the company’s goals and functional demands. Experience working within complex program environments, managing multiple priorities, dependencies, and work while meeting aggressive timelines and quality expectations. Strong knowledge of Portfolio, Program, and Project Management methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery models, as well as business analysis tools, techniques, and guidelines. Working knowledge of enterprise technology and cybersecurity domains, including Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, Cloud Services, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Cyber Security, IT Service Management (ITIL), and Operational Technology (OT) environments, capable of evaluating business impacts and readiness implications. Proficient in Microsoft 365 tools, including Excel, SharePoint, Teams, Power BI, Visio, and PowerPoint, with experience developing reports, dashboards, process maps, and communications for collaborators. Experience supporting activities related to guiding organizational transitions, including engaging relevant parties, readiness assessments, communications planning, training needs analysis, and adoption planning. Experience in the Mining, Natural Resources, Industrial Operations, or Critical Infrastructure sectors is preferred. Experience working with multi-site, geographically distributed operations and multi-functional collaborator groups is highly desirable. Fluency in Spanish is an asset. CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or equivalent Business Analysis certification. Prosci Change Management Certification. ITIL Foundation Certification. Agile credentials like PSM I, CSM, or their equivalents are considered an asset. Cybersecurity certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity (CC) are viewed as a valuable addition.
