Role Description This full-time CNC Machinist role is an on-site position based in Surrey, BC. The CNC Machinist will set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications. Day-to-day responsibilities include selecting appropriate tools, setting machine parameters, performing test runs, and adjusting programs or tooling to ensure accurate output. The role involves inspecting finished parts for quality, maintaining machinery to reduce downtime, and documenting production data. The CNC Machinist will collaborate with team members to meet production schedules, follow safety procedures, and support continuous improvement initiatives in machining processes. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Machine Operation and Machinery handling, including setup, troubleshooting, and basic maintenance. Candidates should possess practical Machining and Milling skills for producing precision components to tight tolerances. Candidates should possess solid Quality Control skills, including measurement, inspection, and adherence to quality standards. Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and CNC programs (G-code) is beneficial. Knowledge of relevant machining tools, materials, and cutting parameters is preferred. Attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and commitment to workplace safety are important. Previous experience as a CNC machinist or completion of a machining/apprenticeship program is an asset.
