Bring your energy to Aggreko as Technician 1 Power based in Brampton, ON. Power without pause. Heating, cooling and oil-free air without end. We keep our customers’ worlds on. From world-class events that last a few weeks to mining operations and remote communities who rely on us for decades. What you’ll do as Technician 1 Power * You’ll be based out of our Brampton, ON service center and can expect to work in the field with local travel daily in your company vehicle * You’ll have an opportunity to work overtime and weekends, and there is a potential for travel * Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, and electrical distribution equipment * Commissioning of multiple canopy generators, single containerized generator * Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations, and handle the repairs * You will either be out on your own or teamed up with another technician(s) to set up and operate equipment at the shop and on customer sites You are: * High School diploma/GED or equivalent work experience * 5+ years of experience working on Cummins diesel power/natural gas generators, mechanics or electricians and/or commercial, performing inspections, maintenance, and repair * Journeyman HET (off-Road) or Journeyman Electrician * Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics * Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card * Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 50 lbs. * Valid driver’s license Here’s what you’ll get: * Full-time with potential for overtime and/or weekends * Personal use vehicle * No premium cost medical plan option available * Robust technical training programs, in person and virtual, on diesel, gas, compressed air, electrical, controls, oil free air compressors, HVAC, microgrid & storage and more * Career growth opportunities and tuition reimbursement available * Safety-focused culture working on brand new technology Other essential job requirements * Availability to work the assigned schedule, travel to work locations (if needed) and be on standby for work outside of regularly scheduled shifts * Must be able to stand, walk and sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrain with functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices * Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that will permit work to be safely performed from ground / floor level to full overhead level * Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items, functional hand-eye coordination, and functionally grip with adequate strength to safely hold tools and stair railing or ladders * Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs), push/pull (80 lbs), carry (60 lbs), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs), stoop, kneel and squat Our people are can-do, positive, resilient and persistent. Exigences

Candidates must possess a High School diploma/GED or equivalent experience, coupled with over 5 years working on Cummins diesel power/natural gas generators, mechanics, or commercial electrical systems. A Journeyman HET (off-Road) or Journeyman Electrician certification is required, along with the ability to read schematics and calculate tonnage/kW requirements.
