About The Role We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Payroll Technician to join our client’s team located in Saint-Eustache. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the entire payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely compensation for employees. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining compliance with labor standards and company policies, while also supporting the HR and finance departments with payroll-related inquiries and reporting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of payroll systems, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to effectively handle employee and managerial questions. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your contributions directly impact employee satisfaction and organizational efficiency. Qualifications To succeed in this role, candidates should meet the following qualifications: DEC (Diploma of College Studies) in accounting, finance, or administration Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Office Suite, and payroll management software such as Nethris (considered an asset) Bilingual proficiency in French and English, both written and spoken Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Previous experience in payroll processing or related roles is preferred Knowledge of labor standards and applicable legislation Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Responsibilities The primary responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to: Complete the full payroll cycle accurately and efficiently, ensuring all employee data is updated and maintained Process and validate payroll data, including hours worked, overtime, absences, and leave banks Manage and reconcile overtime, leave requests, and other employee benefits Apply labor standards, collective agreements, and company policies to payroll calculations Generate payroll reports, prepare month-end journal entries, and perform payroll audits to ensure accuracy Manage taxable benefits, expense accounts, and other payroll-related adjustments Respond promptly to questions from employees and managers regarding payroll matters Track and resolve payroll discrepancies, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and policies Assist with year-end processes, tax filings, and other related tasks as required Benefits Our client offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your health, financial security, and work-life balance, including: Competitive salary ranging from $68,000 to $78,000 annually Group insurance coverage, including health and dental plans Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) participation Flexible work schedule with summer hours to promote work-life balance Opportunities for professional development and career advancement Supportive and collaborative work environment Equal Opportunity Fed Finance is an equal opportunity employer.
