Join a growing multidisciplinary engineering team as a full-time permanent Senior HVAC Design Engineer, leading the design and delivery of complex building mechanical systems across commercial, industrial, healthcare, and institutional projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineering professional to combine technical expertise, project leadership, and team management while working on innovative projects from concept through construction. Total rewards: Earn a competitive salary of $115,000 to $125,000 CAD Lead a team of engineering professionals and technical specialists Manage high-value projects from initiation through completion Work on diverse projects across multiple market sectors Gain exposure to multidisciplinary engineering environments Contribute to innovative and energy-efficient design solutions Participate in professional growth and leadership opportunities Travel to client facilities and project sites across North America Responsibilities: Design building mechanical systems including HVAC, hydronic, plumbing, and utility systems Lead and manage a team of engineering and technical professionals Manage project delivery, budgets, schedules, and client expectations Develop technical reports, engineering documentation, and value engineering analyses Collaborate with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders throughout project execution Review shop drawings, RFIs, and field observations to support construction activities Provide technical troubleshooting and recommendations for facility mechanical systems Ensure designs and construction activities comply with applicable codes, standards, and specifications Requirements: Hold a degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline Possess 7+ years of HVAC and building mechanical design experience Demonstrate experience leading teams and mentoring engineering staff Show strong project management experience on multidiscipline projects Maintain a P.Eng, CET designation, or be working towards professional registration Demonstrate expertise with AutoCAD, Revit, and Autodesk design tools Understand Canadian and industry codes including OBC, NBC, ASHRAE, NFPA, CSA, and related standards Communicate effectively while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment
