Mississauga Position Description Ainley Group is looking to add a qualified candidate for the position of Site Inspector for various water and wastewater linear infrastructure (watermains and sewers) projects in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), based out of our Mississauga office. This role will provide you with the opportunity to utilize your strong technical and interpersonal skills while interfacing with stakeholders. The Specifics Of The Position Are As Follows Responsibilities and Duties Supervise and inspect water and wastewater linear infrastructure projects to ensure that procedures and materials comply with the Contract Documents including drawings and specifications. Verify quantities, prepare daily progress reports and maintain written and photographic documentation and records, including warranty inspection and closeout. Participate in construction progress meetings. Liaise with the Project Manager, Contract Administrator, Client, Contractors, field staff, members of the public and other stakeholders. Identify and act on contractual or regulatory infractions. Resolve construction issues in conjunction with the Contract Administrator and Project Manager. Other construction inspection duties as assigned. Qualifications Civil or Construction Engineering Technology / Technician diploma with a minimum of 5 years of linear infrastructure experience. OACETT designation as C.E.T. or C. Tech Watermain and/or sanitary sewer experience would be an asset. Comprehensive knowledge of standard engineering and construction principles, practices and techniques. Comprehensive knowledge of construction products, materials and equipment. Comprehensive knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and regulations for construction projects. Knowledge of Ontario Provincial Standard Specifications. Knowledge of Region of Peel standards and MECP design guidelines would be an asset. Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
