Company Description AIP&P is a specialized manufacturer of consumables for the plastic card industry, serving both secure and non-secure sectors since 2015. Role Description The Machinery Operator is a full-time, on-site role based in Mississauga, ON, responsible for operating and monitoring production machinery used in the manufacture of plastic card consumables. Day-to-day tasks include setting up machines according to specifications, loading materials such as PVC sheets and overlays, performing routine checks, and adjusting operating parameters to ensure quality and efficiency. The role involves inspecting finished products for defects, following standardized procedures, and completing production logs and basic reports. The Machinery Operator also performs minor preventative maintenance, reports equipment issues, adheres to safety and quality standards, and collaborates with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules. Qualifications Experience operating industrial or manufacturing machinery, with the ability to set up, run, and shut down equipment safely and efficiently. Basic mechanical aptitude, including troubleshooting minor equipment issues and performing simple preventative maintenance tasks. Strong attention to detail for inspecting materials and finished products, identifying defects, and maintaining consistent quality. Ability to follow written instructions, production specifications, and safety procedures, and to complete simple documentation and logs. Good physical stamina and manual dexterity, including the ability to stand for extended periods and handle materials safely. Effective communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively in a production team environment. Previous experience in plastics manufacturing, printing, or related industrial settings is an asset. High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training in manufacturing or machine operation is an advantage.
