Job Title: Controller Employment Type: Full-time & In-office Work Location: On-site in Dundas, ON Department: Finance Reporting Manager: General Manager Position Overview Air Solutions Canada is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Controller to lead our financial operations with energy and precision. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the accounting functions, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and ensure month-end deadlines are consistently met while streamlining financial processes for greater efficiency and accuracy. Your expertise will help ensure accurate financial reporting, strong financial controls, and efficient accounting processes while supporting the organization's continued growth and success. Key Responsibilities Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company policies. Lead and manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are consistently met. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports. Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure accurate financial reporting. Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance. Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and cash management functions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial workflows and improve reporting systems. Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory reporting requirements. Analyze financial results, identify trends and variances, and provide recommendations to improve business performance. Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, improve efficiencies, and enhance financial controls. Develop and coach the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. Support senior leadership with financial analysis and reporting to assist in operational and strategic decision-making. Participate in system implementations and process improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of the finance function. Perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements & Qualifications Proven experience as a Controller or senior finance leader with a strong track record of managing complex financial operations. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or minimum 5 years experience in the position. In-depth knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS), financial regulations, and audit procedures. Exceptional analytical skills coupled with the ability to interpret data into actionable insights. Strong leadership capabilities with excellent communication skills to motivate teams and engage stakeholders. Proficiency in advanced accounting software systems and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with NetSuite is a plus. Ability to work proactively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining meticulous attention to detail. Compensation Range: CAD $90,000 - $110,000 annually, depending on experience.
