Production Scheduler - Production Planning Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on customer orders, forecasts, and inventory levels Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to ensure schedule feasibility and alignment Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to address delays, equipment issues, or material shortages Prioritize work orders to meet delivery deadlines and customer requirements Analyze capacity constraints and recommend solutions to improve throughput and efficiency Ensure raw materials, compounds, and components are available to support planned production Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, schedule adherence, and production efficiency Communicate schedule changes and updates to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner Support continuous improvement initiatives related to production planning and workflow optimization Maintain accurate records in ERP/MRP systems Qualifications Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, or a related field 2–5 years of experience in production scheduling, preferably in a manufacturing environment (rubber/plastics experience is an asset) Strong understanding of production processes, capacity planning, and inventory control Experience with ERP/MRP systems Experience with S&OP process is an asset Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Key Competencies Attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills Ability to work cross-functionally with various departments Adaptability and ability to respond quickly to changing production demands Working Conditions Manufacturing plant environment (rubber processing facility) Exposure to noise, heat, and industrial equipment Primarily office-based with regular time spent on the production floor Health & Safety Responsibilities Adhere to all company health and safety policies and procedures Participate in safety training and promote a safe working environment Report any hazards, incidents, or unsafe conditions immediately
