One of our clients, a major oil and gas company has tasked us with sourcing an Electronic Equipment Maintenance Associate for a 6-month contract position in Calgary, Alberta. The successful candidate will support the maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic equipment in a workshop environment. This role is suited to individuals with previous hands-on experience working with electronic equipment, components, or instrumentation, and offers the opportunity to support day-to-day maintenance operations while ensuring equipment is properly maintained and ready for use. Key Responsibilities Perform routine inspection, testing, maintenance, and basic repair of electronic equipment and components. Troubleshoot equipment issues and assist in identifying and resolving faults. Support preventative maintenance activities to help ensure equipment reliability and performance. Assemble, disassemble, clean, and prepare equipment for maintenance and operational use. Conduct functional testing and document test results. Maintain accurate maintenance records and update equipment information in company systems. Assist with inventory control, parts management, and material handling activities. Follow established maintenance procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workshop environment. Collaborate with technicians and other team members to complete maintenance activities and meet operational requirements. Qualifications Previous experience working with electronic equipment in a maintenance, repair, testing, assembly, manufacturing, or technical support environment. Familiarity with electronic components, circuits, and diagnostic equipment. Experience using basic electronic test equipment, such as multimeters and power supplies. Ability to follow technical procedures, manuals, and work instructions. Basic understanding of troubleshooting and fault-finding techniques. Comfortable using computers to document maintenance activities and track equipment information. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications Exposure to instrumentation, electronic repairs, equipment testing, or calibration activities. Experience working in an industrial, manufacturing, energy, or workshop environment. Familiarity with inventory management or maintenance tracking systems.
