Client is seeking a Project Controls Manager to join our Project Controls team at our offices in Edmonton or Calgary, Alberta Primary Objectives To support the project control personnel of projects utilising the Worley Project Control Systems and processes in all phases of project execution Work with project teams to provide guidance on Project Controls requirements and data gathering Provide strong leadership to the entire PC team both locally and globally Ensure accurate and on-time reporting of data What We Offer You Every Friday afternoon OFF (40 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8.75 hours per day, Friday 5 hour day) RRSP matching program of up to 5% from day one FREE benefits from day one, including generous paramedical, dental and vision benefits Both a health spending and wellness account Mental health and wellness support, including Employee Assistance Programs Generous paid vacation and sick time Opportunity to grow your career and be a part of some of world's most challenging heavy-oil facilities, gas plants, power-stations and other sustainable energy projects Responsibilities Take ownership of the project control activities i.e. Cost Control, Management of Change, Forecasting, Progressing and Scheduling and Planning on Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) projects and ensure integrity of the data being processed Interface with project personnel to establish project WBS/CBS and ensure that control applications are set up according to the project controls plan using approved control budget data, project WBS/CBS and appropriate control accounts/cost codes Interface with project controls team to setup, generate and update Engineering / construction progress and cost reports. Ensure accuracy of coding on all daily timesheets and organize cost coding on Procurement requisitions and Subcontractor invoices Manage project change management process including development and submission of change proposal for client approval, setup and maintenance of Change log Guide construction planners/schedulers in the development and maintenance of resource loaded project schedule Ensure all reporting timelines are met, and data integrity is maintained Represent Project Controls in meetings with project team, client and sub-contractor Organize monthly cost review and change management meetings Liaise with Client for reporting purposes Preparation of monthly financial reports for the project. Also prepare other financial analysis as required on an ad hoc basis Implement financial controls including controlling authorisations of expenditure and cash flow projections Preparation of budgets in conjunction with engineering and construction team members Ensure effective coordination and cooperation between other team members, particularly on cost and planning (forecasting) Training and mentoring of project controls personnel Liaise with project teams to ensure the correct utilisation of the project control systems based on project specific requirements and corporate guidelines Qualifications Relevant degree or diploma from recognized educational institute 15+ years’ experience as Project Controller in the oil and gas or mining industries 7+ years’ experience as a Project Controls Manager preferably in EPC/EPCM projects Field project controls experience with a construction contracting company on oil and gas/ mining projects is an asset Primavera P6 scheduling experience is required Working knowledge on Ecosys and Power BI is considered an asset Strong costing experience is required Working knowledge on Ecosys is considered an asset Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Requires a relevant degree or diploma with over 15 years of experience in oil and gas or mining, including 7+ years as a Project Controls Manager. Proficiency in Primavera P6 is required, with knowledge of Ecosys and Power BI preferred.
