Position: IMAC Deployment Technician Duration: 6-month contract with possibility of extension Location: Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 3A8 Work Model: Onsite Pay Rate: $23/hour T4 About Our Client: Our client is a leading technology services organization providing reliable IT infrastructure, desktop support, and technical solutions to help businesses maintain efficient and productive operations. About this opportunity: On behalf of our client, we’re looking for an experienced IMAC Deployment Technician to provide onsite technical support in Selkirk, Manitoba. You’ll be responsible for troubleshooting desktop systems, network infrastructure, hardware, and end-user issues while delivering a high-quality customer experience. What You’ll Do: The IMAC Deployment Technician is responsible for the installation, movement, addition, and change (IMAC) of end-user computing equipment across client sites. The role supports hardware deployments, refreshes, relocations, and decommissioning activities while ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. Key Responsibilities: Install, move, add, and change desktops, laptops, monitors, docking stations, printers, and peripherals Perform workstation setups, relocations, and hardware refreshes - Disconnect, pack, transport, and reconnect IT equipment as required Ensure proper asset tagging, inventory updates, and documentation Provide basic troubleshooting and support during deployment activities - Coordinate with project leads and site contacts to meet deployment schedules Follow client standards, security policies, and health & safety procedures. Required Skills & Experience: - Hands-on experience with IMAC or deployment services Knowledge of desktop hardware, peripherals, and basic networking (LAN, cabling) Strong attention to detail and ability to follow deployment runbooks Good customer service and communication skills Ability to work on-site and lift/move equipment as needed What You Bring: 2–5 years of related IT/Desktop Support experience, or an Associate’s degree, technical training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Install, move, add, and change desktops, laptops, monitors, docking stations, printers, and peripherals Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Enthusiastic about technology with a willingness to learn and stay current with emerging technologies.
