OPERATIONS PLANNER - Underground Operations Role Overview/Purpose: As Operations Planner, you will work with the underground operations and engineering teams to support the mining process from planning through to execution. The focus of this role will be directing, supporting, and following up on day-to-day operations to ensure results align with the short-term and mid-term goals. Primary Responsibilities: * Working closely with UG Mine Superintendents, direct/execute day-to-day planning using various methods and software (Promine, Deswik Ops, etc.) * Participate in weekly production and development planning with engineering and other departments to build a realistic and cohesive plan. * Monitor/investigate workflows and processes for non-compliance and continuous improvement opportunities * Work with management and the training department to ensure a dynamic and flexible workforce * Monitor and Issue consistent updates on critical path processes to increase understanding and clarity * Work with underground team to ensure safety and routine inspections are completed in a timely manner * Estimate cost/time commits for special projects and routine operations * Help direct people/processed during emergency response situations * Build new / improve existing processes and procedures as we continue to grow as an operation * Investigate and report incidents internally and externally as required Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience: * Mining Engineering or Mine Technician accreditation * 4 or more years experience in the mining industry * Mine rescue knowledge/training considered an asset * Strong organization skills with ability to multitask and accomplish tasks, projects and goals efficiently * Strong verbal, written and listening communication skills * Professional attitude and well-developed interpersonal skills * Attention to detail and strong process management skills Working Conditions: * The planner position will be working both indoors and outdoors at times. The rotation will consist of 7 days on 7 days off schedule.
