Senior Financial Analyst This role is focused on site finance support/special projects, external financial reporting, technical accounting analysis, quarterly and annual disclosure processes, and corporate accounting policies. The position requires robust engagement with operating sites, finance teams, and executive stakeholders to drive accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with IFRS and regulatory requirements Primary Responsibilities: 1. Site Finance Support and Special Projects * Provide financial reporting guidance and support during month- end, quarter-end and year-end close processes * Assist sites in resolving complex accounting and reporting issues * Review site submissions and provide feedback on reporting quality and compliance * Support process improvements and standardization initiatives across site finance functions * Support ad hoc projects, analyses, and requests from cross-functional and mine-site teams 2. Financial Reporting * Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements and Management’s Discussion and Analysis (MD&A) in accordance with IFRS * Prepare supporting working papers, schedules, and checklists * Coordinate reporting requirements with mine-site and corporate finance teams and collaborate with operational, treasury, tax, investor relations and other business partners to gather financial and operational information * Review site financial submissions to ensure consistency with corporate accounting policies and reporting requirements * Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes * Analyze variances and prepare supporting explanations * Support implementation of new disclosure requirements and best practices 3. Technical Accounting * Research and assess the accounting implications of complex or non-routine transactions * Prepare technical accounting memoranda and position papers for management and external auditors * Monitor new accounting standards and evaluate their implications for the Company * Develop, review, and maintain accounting policies and procedures * Assist in updating accounting policy manuals to reflect changes in IFRS and business operations * Partner with site finance teams to ensure consistent application of accounting policies across operations * Provide guidance and training on technical accounting matters and reporting requirements 4. Audit & Internal Controls * * Prepare audit support documentation and technical accounting analyses * Assist in maintaining effective internal controls over financial reporting * Support remediation efforts and process enhancements identified through audits or internal reviews What You Bring! * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or relevant field; CPA or similar designation is an asset * 3-5 years of progressive accounting, financial reporting, and/or public accounting experience * Mining, natural resources, or industrial sector experience is considered a strong asset * Experience in public accounting and/or publicly listed companies preferred * Advanced skills in Excel; experience with OneStream, SAP, and Workiva preferred * Experience preparing MD&A and public company disclosure documents * Excellent written communication and technical memo-writing skills * Ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines in a quarterly reporting environment, including working additional hours during peak reporting periods * Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy * Effective collaborator with cross-functional and mine-site teams Salary Range: CAD $78,750- $122,350 The expected salary range for this role is intended to support transparency and informed decision making. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience and internal equity.
