About Island Gold District: Alamos Gold’s Island Gold District will become one of the largest and lowest-cost gold mines in Canada. UNDERGROUND CERTIFIED ELECTRICIAN - Island Gold District Responsibilities Primary Responsibilities: Ability to work on new installation, troubleshoot and repairs as required Read, understand, and interpret prints and electrical codes Work with soft start and variable speed drives Inspects equipment & repair/replace defective parts components or systems according to scopes of work Identifies additional repairs, compiles parts and labor estimates and communicates to supervisor Tests repaired equipment to ensure proper operational performance Troubleshoot electrical systems including electrical mobile equipment, power distribution, leaky feeder (communication systems), PLC, motor controls and any other work as assigned. Completes accurate time records, technical reports, failure reports, parts listings and submit drawing revisions. Work on High Voltage Electrical and mechanical installations of sub-stations Actively participates in continuous improvement initiatives Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications And Experience Must be an Ontario Licensed Electrician 3-4 years experience in similar functions Basic knowledge in mechanic and electricity Ability to lift 25 lbs Strong communication skills Able to work independently and as part of a team Available to work fluctuating schedules Computer skills, SAP experience an asset Working Conditions 7 days on / 7 days off schedule A travel allowance is provided and varies based on distance from the mine site in Dubreuilville, Ontario Meals and accommodation provided while working at site Pay or shift range: $45.60 CAD to $58.57 CAD The compensation range for this role is intended to support transparency and informed decision making. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience and internal equity.
