General Internal Medicine provides care to adult patients with complex acute and chronic medical conditions requiring comprehensive assessment, clinical expertise, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Description: As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team, utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, and demonstrated skill level, in alignment with applicable legislation, standards of practice, policies, and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, high quality, patient and family centred care while reflecting the shared vision and values of the organization. Classification: Licensed Practical Nurse Union: AUPE AUX Unit and Program: Medicine 5E4 Primary Location: U of A Hospital Location Details: As Per Location Multi-Site: Not Applicable FTE: 0.63 Posting End Date: 17-AUG-2026 Temporary Employee Class: Temporary Part Time Date Available: 27-AUG-2026 Temporary End Date: 04-JAN-2027 Hours per Shift: 11.25, 7.75 Length of Shift in weeks: 20 Shifts per cycle: 60 Shift Pattern: Days, Evenings, Weekends Days Off: As Per Rotation Minimum Salary: $33.16 Maximum Salary: $43.42 Vehicle Requirement: Not Applicable Required Qualifications: Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Additional Required Qualifications: Current registration with CLPNA. Ability to work to full scope of practice. Exigences
