Your Opportunity: An exciting opportunity exists to develop as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) within a collaborative team on 2 North at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital. 2 North is a 30-inpatient bed unit providing care for our geriatric assessment unit. You will be responsible for providing excellent patient and family centered care supporting the needs of our patients. As an LPN on 2 North, you will collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team consisting of Nurses, Physicians, Allied Health professionals and support workers, fostering a unit culture that values and respects individual team members and their expertise. As the successful candidate you will demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively maintain collaborative working relationships with members of the multidisciplinary team; decision making, problem solving, and critical thinking skills using sound clinical reasoning; patient advocacy and patient education skills; time management and prioritization skills; conflict resolution skills and promotion of a positive teamwork environment while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS. Description: As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team, utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, and demonstrated skill level, in alignment with applicable legislation, standards of practice, policies, and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, high quality, patient and family centred care while reflecting the shared vision and values of the organization. Transition Company: Assisted Living Alberta Classification: Licensed Practical Nurse Union: AUPE AUX Unit and Program: 2 North Primary Location: Medicine Hat Regional Hospital Location Details: As Per Location Multi-Site: Not Applicable FTE: 0.82 Posting End Date: 14-SEP-2026 Employee Class: Regular Part Time Date Available: 24-SEP-2026 Hours per Shift: 7.75 Length of Shift in weeks: 12 Shifts per cycle: 49 Shift Pattern: Days, Evenings, Weekends Days Off: As Per Rotation Minimum Salary: $33.16 Maximum Salary: $43.42 Vehicle Requirement: Not Applicable Required Qualifications: Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Additional Required Qualifications: As Required. Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to those who have It’s Your Move and Required organizational learnings up to date.

Exigences
