Role Description This full-time remote Software Engineer role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining backend services and core application features. The Software Engineer will collaborate with product, data, and operations teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions, write clean and efficient code, and participate in code reviews. Daily responsibilities include implementing APIs, integrating data sources, optimizing performance, and ensuring system reliability and security. The person in this role will contribute to technical documentation, support production deployments, and help refine engineering best practices within the team. Qualifications Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles. Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience building and maintaining production systems. Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, including APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks. Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and their application in modern codebases. Experience with version control (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows. Ability to write clear technical documentation and communicate effectively in a remote team setting. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is beneficial. Experience with automated testing, continuous integration, and monitoring tools is a plus.
