Résumé du poste
Applied Physics (AI Training) About The Role What if your years of physics expertise could directly shape how AI understands the physical world? We're looking for PhD-level Applied Physicists to stress-test and improve cutting-edge Large Language Models — exposing the gaps in their reasoning and helping ensure they never violate the fundamental laws of the universe. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for researchers and domain experts. No prior AI experience needed — just a deep mastery of physics and a sharp, rigorous mind. Organization: Alignerr Type: Hourly Contract Location: Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do Design Advanced Problems — Craft PhD-level, open-ended physics problems spanning quantum mechanics, electrodynamics, thermodynamics, and classical mechanics that demand genuine multi-step reasoning and mathematical derivation Author Ground-Truth Solutions — Write rigorous, step-by-step "golden responses" that are flawless in physical constants, units, and logical structure Audit AI Reasoning — Evaluate AI-generated proofs and simulations for physical consistency, identifying where models "hallucinate" physics that violates first principles Refine Model Behavior — Provide structured, expert feedback that helps AI develop physics-informed reasoning — from conservation laws to boundary conditions Work independently and asynchronously — fully on your own schedule Who You Are Hold a PhD (completed or near completion) in Applied Physics, Physics, Engineering Physics, or a closely related field Have deep mastery across the core pillars: Classical Mechanics, Electrodynamics, Statistical Mechanics, and Quantum Mechanics Write with exceptional clarity — able to explain complex phenomena and mathematical derivations in structured, precise English Uncompromisingly detail-oriented when it comes to units, scientific notation, and the logical flow of a proof Self-motivated and consistent when working independently No prior AI experience required Nice to Have Experience with data annotation, scientific dataset evaluation, or academic peer review Proficiency with computational tools such as MATLAB, COMSOL, or Python (NumPy/SciPy) Background in research-level benchmarking or technical writing for scientific audiences Why Join Us Work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside leading research labs Fully remote and flexible — work when and where it suits you Freelance autonomy with the structure of meaningful, high-impact work Contribute directly to how the world's most advanced AI models understand physical reality Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
