Chemistry Masters – AI Data Trainer About The Role We're looking for chemistry experts to help train and improve the next generation of AI models. Your advanced knowledge of chemistry will directly shape how AI understands, reasons through, and communicates complex scientific concepts — work that matters at the frontier of AI development. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. No AI experience required. Organization: Alignerr Type: Hourly Contract Location: Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do Design challenging, graduate-level chemistry problems to rigorously test AI reasoning and performance Develop clear, step-by-step solutions across domains like chemical engineering, biochemistry, organic chemistry, and more Evaluate AI-generated responses for scientific accuracy, logical soundness, and quality of reasoning Collaborate with researchers to develop and refine benchmarks spanning undergraduate through Master's-level chemistry topics Provide structured, expert feedback that directly improves AI model outputs Who You Are Currently pursuing or have completed a Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a closely related field Strong analytical and problem-solving skills across advanced chemistry domains Able to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly and concisely in writing Detail-oriented and comfortable working independently on an asynchronous schedule No prior AI or data annotation experience required Nice to Have Experience with data annotation, quality evaluation, or academic research Familiarity with AI systems or large language models Background in multiple chemistry subfields Why Join Us Work directly with industry-leading AI research teams and cutting-edge language models Fully remote and flexible — set your own schedule and work from anywhere High autonomy and agency as an independent contractor Meaningful work that advances the capabilities of AI in science Potential for ongoing contract renewals and expanded project involvement
