Résumé du poste

Mechanical Engineering Expert (AI Training) About The Role We're partnering with the world's leading AI research labs to build smarter, more technically rigorous AI models — and we need mechanical engineers to make it happen. Your deep domain knowledge will directly shape how AI understands and reasons through complex engineering problems. This is a rare opportunity to work at the intersection of engineering and artificial intelligence, applying your expertise in fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, structural mechanics, and beyond — all on your own schedule, fully remote. Organization: Alignerr Type: Hourly Contract Location: Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do Design Complex Engineering Problems — Craft advanced, multi-step problems across domains like FEA (Finite Element Analysis), heat transfer, kinematics, and material science to rigorously test AI performance Author Ground-Truth Solutions — Develop detailed, step-by-step technical solutions that serve as gold-standard benchmarks for AI learning and evaluation Audit AI Reasoning — Evaluate AI-generated CAD logic, thermodynamic proofs, and material specifications for technical accuracy, safety, and compliance with engineering standards (e.g., ASME, ISO) Sharpen AI Thinking — Identify logical errors in AI reasoning — such as incorrect force distributions, energy conservation violations, or flawed kinematic assumptions — and provide structured feedback to improve model outputs Who You Are Holds or is pursuing a Master's or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related field Strong foundational expertise in one or more core areas: solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, CAD/CAM, or manufacturing processes Able to communicate complex physical phenomena and technical concepts clearly and precisely in writing Meticulous attention to detail — comfortable checking mathematical derivations, unit conversions, and physical system constraints No prior AI experience required — we'll get you up to speed Nice to Have Experience with data annotation, data quality evaluation, or technical content review Proficiency with engineering software such as SolidWorks, MATLAB, or ANSYS Familiarity with AI or large language model (LLM) workflows Why Join Us Work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside top research labs and AI teams Fully remote and async — work on your own schedule, wherever you are Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and collaboration with a global expert community Meaningful impact — your engineering knowledge directly improves how AI reasons about the physical world Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
