About The Role We're looking for experienced economists with a public policy background to help shape how AI understands and reasons about complex economic and policy topics. Your expertise will directly influence the quality of AI-generated analysis on regulation, welfare programs, fiscal policy, and more — work that matters at a foundational level. Organization: Alignerr (Powered by Labelbox) Type: Hourly / Task-based Contract Location: Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do Review and evaluate AI-generated public policy questions, scenarios, and economic explanations used in AI training Assess economic reasoning across topics including regulation, welfare, public programs, and fiscal policy Provide structured, detailed feedback to improve clarity, analytical rigor, and real-world relevance Validate economic scenarios and conclusions using your applied economics expertise Work independently and asynchronously — on your schedule, at your pace Who You Are 3+ years of experience working or teaching in public economics, applied economics, or a related policy field Strong command of policy analysis frameworks and economic tradeoffs Able to critically evaluate written economic arguments and recommendations Clear, precise written communicator comfortable delivering detailed feedback Self-directed and reliable when working remotely on task-based projects Nice to Have Graduate degree in Economics, Public Policy, or a related field Background in government agencies, think tanks, or policy research organizations Familiarity with AI systems or content evaluation workflows Why Join Us Work on cutting-edge AI projects with top research labs Fully remote and flexible — work on your own schedule Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration Contribute to meaningful work that improves how AI reasons about real-world policy Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
