Soil and Water Conservation Scientist (AI Training) About The Role AI is being trained to understand some of the most complex and consequential topics in environmental science — and it needs real experts to get it right. We're looking for soil and water conservation scientists to review, evaluate, and improve AI-generated content related to sustainable land and water management. Your expertise will directly influence how AI systems reason about erosion control, watershed health, soil science, and conservation planning — helping ensure these tools are scientifically sound and practically useful. Organization: Alignerr (Powered by Labelbox) Type: Hourly / Task-based Contract Location: Fully Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do Review AI-generated soil and water conservation scenarios for scientific accuracy and real-world applicability Evaluate content related to erosion control, watershed management, soil health, and conservation planning Identify flawed assumptions, impractical recommendations, or gaps in scientific reasoning Provide clear, structured feedback to improve the rigor and clarity of AI outputs Work independently and asynchronously — on your schedule, at your pace Who You Are 3+ years of experience in soil science, hydrology, conservation planning, or a closely related field Strong foundational knowledge of soil processes, water systems, and land management techniques Able to critically assess applied environmental science reasoning and identify where AI gets it wrong Comfortable reviewing and annotating technical written content Self-motivated and reliable in a remote, task-based work environment Nice to Have Graduate degree in Soil Science, Hydrology, Environmental Science, or a related field Hands-on experience with field assessments or conservation planning tools Familiarity with AI content evaluation or data annotation workflows Why Join Us Put your scientific expertise to work on cutting-edge AI projects Fully remote and flexible — work from anywhere, on your own schedule Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and collaboration with a global expert community Contribute to meaningful work that helps AI better understand and support environmental conservation Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
