If you're looking to grow your skills in a dynamic, hands-on environment, we’d love to meet you. 🔧 Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Technical Sales Engineer to join our team. This multifaceted role combines cost estimation and sales to support custom gasket manufacturing. All work is performed on-site at our Mississauga facility. 📋 Key Responsibilities Technical Estimation & Sales Develop accurate, timely customer quotations and RFQ costings that support both technical requirements and sales objectives Source, evaluate, and maintain up‑to‑date third‑party raw material pricing to ensure competitive and profitable proposals Analyze historical production data and cost trends to improve future estimates and strengthen pricing strategies Partner closely with operations, engineering, and purchasing teams to validate assumptions and ensure quote accuracy Provide responsive technical support to customers via phone and email, helping guide them toward the best product or solution Incorporate critical variables—equipment capabilities, material pricing, freight, inflation, offcuts, fabrication efficiency, and production constraints—into all estimates Understand manufacturing processes, lead times, and labour requirements for custom and standard jobs Support sales efforts by identifying value‑added opportunities, upsell options, and cost‑effective alternatives during the quoting process Collaborate with the sales team to clarify customer requirements, refine proposals, and strengthen win rates Participate in customer meetings, presentations, and follow‑ups to explain technical details and reinforce the value proposition Track quotation outcomes, analyze win/loss data, and recommend pricing or process improvements to enhance competitiveness Support quoting and estimation processes with precise technical drawings Interpret customer specifications, engineering drawings, and sample parts to produce accurate designs Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimize designs for manufacturability Review and validate technical aspects of drawings—including dimensions, tolerances, materials, and specifications—to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements Build and maintain strong customer relationships by delivering professional communication, proactive updates, and solution‑oriented support ✅ Qualifications & Skills 3 - 5 years of experience in technical estimation and CAD drafting Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) Strong written and verbal communication skills Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy Skilled in interpreting production drawings and converting measurements Advanced mathematical and analytical skills Deep understanding of costing and manufacturing processes Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.) Experience with ACCPAC/SAGE is a plus Background in Math, Manufacturing, or Engineering preferred Familiarity with AS9100 / ISO 9001 standards is an asset Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team 🌟 Why Join ACG?
