Status: Full Time / Part Time Reports To: BCBA Supervisor / Clinical Director Summary/Objective: The Junior Supervisor works under the direction of a BCBA Supervisor and the Clinical Director to design, implement and evaluate a range of ABA clinical services for children and adolescents with autism, autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related disorders. The Junior Supervisor is responsible for collaborating with the BCBA Supervisor to systematically take on more BCBA Supervisor responsibilities. They are required to adhere to and promote adherence to the Behavior Analytic Certification Board (BACB)’s Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts® as well as all regulatory and statutory rules of the New York State Education Department (NYSED) Office of the Professions. The Junior Supervisor maintains a weekly caseload of service hours as dictated by their clinical caseload and directed by the Clinical Director. Essential Functions: Provide ABA therapy in individual and group settings. Full time provider: 20-25 hours of direct service, 10-15 hours indirect hours Treatment planning is limited to 20% of total direct service hours and is split between team lead and the supervising BCBA Coordinate, attend and/or lead monthly team meetings with family and/or client, supervisor and ABA team (1 hour/month) Attend and/or lead monthly team lead meetings with supervisor and ABA team (1 hour/month) Implement BIPs as written and directed by the BCBA Supervisor. Collect and graph data as instructed. Conduct assessments under the supervision of the BCBA Supervisor and/or Clinical Director Write treatment plans under the supervision of the BCBA Supervisor and/or Clinical Director Design ABA program and BIPS under the supervision of the BCBA Supervisor and/or Clinical Director Lead family training under the supervision of the BCBA Supervisor and/or Clinical Director Supervise Direct Service Providers under the supervision of the BCBA Supervisor and/or Clinical Director Attend supervision meetings as needed. Meet with BCBA Supervisor weekly or bi-weekly to discuss client programming. Communicate updates to client programming and meet with team members as-needed under the direction of the BCBA Supervisor Maintain respect and confidentiality, and protect the well being of all clients Maintain client confidentiality Maintain professional and technical knowledge Attend educational workshops Review professional publications Establish personal networks Benchmarking state-of-the-art practices Participate in professional societies Maintain a dependable means of transportation Adhere to the mission, vision, and values of AT-LBA Required Education And Experience: Completion of a masters degree in ABA or a related field BCBA certification for less than 1 year A limited permit-LBA or CBAA from NYSED Demonstrate a thorough understanding of ABA technology. A minimum of two years of experience working within the field of ABA. A minimum of one year of experience supervising direct service providers. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This position may be a full-time (35 hours per week) or part-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, hours will fluctuate based on workload and client availability. Work Environment And Physical Demands: Ability to work at a desk, conference table or in meetings of various configurations. Ability to stand and circulate for extended periods of time. Ability to see for purposes of reading laws and codes, rules and policies, and other printed matter and observing students. Ability to hear and understand speech at normal speech levels, in the English language. Ability to communicate so others will be able to clearly understand normal conversation. Ability to navigate teleconferencing technology Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Moderate to high stress levels. Work fluctuates between your home office and the client’s home and/or school environment Regular contact with parents, community members and outside agency personnel. Hazards: Incumbent may be exposed to contact with individuals displaying physically aggressive or self-injurious behavior. Travel This position may require travel between the incumbent’s home, the AT-LBA office and/or the client’s school and/or home. Travel may occur within the 5 boroughs of New York City, Westchester County, The Hudson Valley and/or Long Island.
