Alliance Employment Group is looking for an experienced Construction Safety officer to join our team on a construction project in Cambridge, ON. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and maintaining a strong safety culture on-site, ensuring compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations, and supporting day-to-day site operations from a safety perspective. This is a on-site based full-time contract role running from July 20th 2026 and will end around August 24th 2026 with possibility of extension. Key Responsibilities Conduct daily site safety inspections and hazard assessments Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and company standards Deliver safety orientations and toolbox talks to site personnel Identify unsafe conditions and take corrective action as required Investigate incidents, near misses, and prepare detailed reports Maintain accurate safety documentation and records Work closely with site supervision and project teams to support safe work practices Coordinate with project management, subcontractors, and workers to promote a safe work environment. Serve as the primary safety representative for the project. Requirements Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience Strong knowledge of construction site safety practices and OH&S regulations Experience working on active construction sites in Canada Ability to work full-time on-site in Cambridge,ON Ability to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment screening Preferred Qualifications (Assets) NCSO (National Construction Safety Officer) CSO (Construction Safety Officer) CRSP designation considered an asset Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety or a related field CHSC(Certified Health and Safety consultant) What We Offer Competitive hourly rate ($39 – $55/hour based on experience) Stable and active construction project Opportunity to work with a professional and safety-focused team If you're interested in growing your career in the health and safety field, we look forward to receiving your application!
