Title: Security Shift Supervisor – Healthcare Location: Toronto, ON (North York and surround area) Salary Range: $46,800 – $49,500 annually Schedule: Full-Time | Swing Rotation | Must be flexible to adjust schedule as operationally required Position Overview Allied Universal®, a global leader in Security Services, is seeking an experienced Security Shift Supervisor - Healthcare - to lead and oversee a team of security professionals within a highly regulated healthcare environment for the region of North York and surrounding area. This role is responsible for the shift’s operational performance of a complex healthcare security program, including personnel leadership, compliance management, and client engagement. The successful candidate will bring proven experience overseeing a security team in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or similarly regulated environments, with the ability to uphold strict compliance standards while delivering exceptional service. Key Responsibilities Ensure strict compliance with healthcare regulations, site-specific protocols, and Allied Universal policies and standards Investigate incidents and ensure accurate, timely, and comprehensive reporting Coaching and mentoring team members Provide leadership during emergency situations and after-hours operational issues as required Provide shift deployment assignments Promote a culture of accountability, professionalism, safety, and continuous improvement Healthcare / Regulated Site Requirements Due to the regulated nature of the healthcare environment, proof of vaccination is required for client access, including: Diphtheria Pertussis Tetanus Influenza Covid (two vaccinations) Additional vaccinations may be required in the future in accordance with client requirements or public health guidelines. Qualifications & Experience 2–4 years of supervisory experience leading security or operational teams within healthcare, pharmaceutical, or other regulated environments Valid Ontario Security Guard License Valid Ontario G-Class Driver’s License with a clean driving record High School Diploma or GED required (post-secondary education preferred) Demonstrated leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment Working knowledge of security systems, including CCTV, access control, and alarm systems Proficiency with Microsoft Office, scheduling software, and incident reporting platforms Standard First Aid (or willingness to obtain; reimbursement provided) Pre-Employment Screening Successful Candidates Must Successfully Complete Criminal background check (7 years) – Vulnerability Check Education verification Employment verification (past 7 years or last 3 employers) Professional reference checks What We Offer Stable, full-time leadership position Competitive salary and comprehensive health and dental benefits Paid training and professional development opportunities Long-term career growth within Allied Universal’s Healthcare and Regulated Security Services division Disclaimer As part of the hiring process, candidates must complete a background check.
