Who You Are: We are looking for a Labourer/Rigging Specialist to work out of our Calgary Shop location (8700 Venture Ave SE) in our Assembly/Yard department. The ideal candidate will be a safety-conscious individual with over three years of hands-on rigging experience, preferably in industrial or construction settings. A strong understanding of workplace safety standards and proper lifting/handling techniques is essential. Over three years of experience loading trailers required Zoom boom or Forklift ticket is an asset, but not required Current - 5 Year Driver’s Abstract, Valid Driver’s license Previous experience completing Field Level Hazard Assessments Good knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting/handling procedures Ability to lift up to 60lbs, be physically fit, work at heights, be agile, and be able to go up/down ladders Excellent communication/verbal & listening skills; ability to follow directions and have attention to detail Ability to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines Proven safety attitude and excellent attendance history Minimum Grade 12/GED Responsibilities Physically demanding role; reporting to the assigned foreman Work in various outside/inside conditions, cold/heat, and a fast-paced environment Required to perform complex tasks, operate small equipment Pre-use inspections of lifting gear Choose the appropriate rigging hardware and hitches Safely lift steel, pipes, and structural material. Working Conditions: You will work in a large manufacturing facility with other trades present Outside/inside work Physically demanding position
