Your future role Take on a new challenge and apply your human factors and ergonomics expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates on a global scale. You'll contribute to the development of projects and offers by implementing internal procedures, instructions, and guidelines specific to the human factors/ergonomics discipline. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as design, engineering, and R&D teams), conduct ergonomic assessments, and much more. You’ll specifically take care of activities such as human factors/ergonomics assessments using tools like Catia V6 and Human Builder to conduct human posture and activity analysis, as well as in field reviews with end users. You’ll also focus on assessing display interfaces, defining design rules, and performing workload and risk identification studies. We’ll look to you for: Contributing to Alstom programs and projects with expertise in human factors/ergonomics Providing recommendations for passenger, driver, and maintainer areas Conducting human factors-related risk analysis and workload evaluations Specifying passenger needs in the areas of services and information Assessing display screens and possibly specifying their requirements Performing platform, pre-project, and project simulations for cab visibility and workplace accessibility Developing and promoting the use of mock-ups for cabin and car layouts Defining and deploying processes and tools for simulation and assessment Developing and maintaining libraries of manikins, driver desks, seats, and footrests Collaborating with regions, platforms, and universities to collect feedback and promote technical advancements Performing active technical watch and regular progress reporting Conduct end user interviews to gather Return on Experience (REX) and inputs to task analysis All about you We value passion and attitude over experience. The Human Factors/Ergonomics Engineer will conduct ergonomic assessments, perform workload and risk identification studies, and define design rules for transport projects. They will collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure passenger, driver, and maintainer needs are met through simulation and field reviews.

Candidates must hold a degree in Human Factors, Ergonomics, or a related field and possess proficiency in both French and English. Strong knowledge of simulation tools, ergonomic standards, and methodologies such as HTA, RULA, and REBA is required.
