Job Description ALTEN Canada is looking for a Senior UI/UX Designer to help shape the user experience of a next-generation, low-latency control system used in mission-critical operations. Successful candidate will collaborate with operators and development teams to design a lightweight, responsive interface that supports critical operational activities such as system start-up and recovery. Starting with a consulting workshop, successful candidate will assess an existing proprietary solution and help define the future user experience Key Responsibilities Analyze operator workflows and identify UX improvements Create user journeys, wireframes, and interactive prototypes Design efficient interfaces for low-latency environments Focus on critical operational scenarios and recovery workflows Collaborate closely with developers and end users Support usability validation and implementation reviews Must Have 5+ years of Senior-level UI/UX design experience Software development background (C++ experience is highly desirable) Experience designing lightweight, low-latency interfaces Ability to design operator-facing workflows for critical control systems Nice to Have Rail, industrial, or control system experience Safety-critical or real-time application environments Experience with recovery and system start-up workflows ALTEN Canada fosters a dynamic, collaborative work environment where every team member is empowered to reach their full potential. Final compensation will be determined after considering several factors, including professional experience, skill set, educational background, certifications, and geographic market conditions.
