HOURLY RATE: $26.12 FULL-TIME HOURS: * Full time hours (5 days/week) WHAT WILL I BE DOING? The Assistant Manager, Race sets the cultural tone for creating revolutionary guest experiences while uniting their team around purpose and fun. The Assistant Manager, Race & Freestyle, will be responsible for the day-to-day operation, communication and administration of the Blue Mountain Jozo Weider Race and Freestyle program. They will regularly communicate with onsite recreational service departments including snow school and summer programming, sales, guest services, operations and marketing. * Work directly with the Manager, Race, in planning, sales/POS, operation and development of race/freestyle programs; and support recruitment, performance management and development of supervisors, coaches, crew and administrator(s) on a regular/daily basis, and maintain daily reporting – to react quickly to financial and service shortfalls in a professional manner. * Facilitate and support the daily on-hill operation (i.e. training and/or race day operation) of the race & freestyle program. * Maintain daily and seasonal schedules according to budgets and business levels. * Manage and support administrative duties including, but not limited to participant registration, confirmation(s), waivers, and payment re: the Blue Mountain Jozo Weider Race and Freestyle programs. * Deliver consistent internal and external communications with staff, racers and parents to provide information, community updates, expectations and to foster program development to surpass departmental revenue/operational goals. * Coordinate, communicate and facilitate internal and external MEOs, BEOs, grass-roots races/events, OCUP, FIS races and events – and supporting documents. * Maintain strong, positive working relationships with all department staff and other Blue Mountain departments, resort and industry partners. * Assist as a liaison with Alpine Ontario, Freestyle Ontario, Snowboard Ontario, and the Jozo Weider Volunteer Committee. * Understands department tactics that tie into the overarching Strategic Plan and assists in their execution as required. * Understands the annual departmental operating budgets and ensures day to day expenses, labour scheduling and where applicable, revenues meet daily budgeted targets and makes day to day adjustments as required. * Delivers training and communication for departmental service delivery and operations that create revolutionary guest experiences and achieve OKRs. * Optimizes the use of resources, training and communication that delivers a highly productive, efficient environment with minimal downtime and produces high quality product(s). * Promotes, develops, participates and delivers programming and training that unites employees around purpose and fun and therefore results in high employee engagement and high retention and return rates. * Fosters a culture of teamwork between all employees that achieves the department's targets. Exigences

Candidates must have 10+ years of alpine ski racing, coaching, and instructing experience, along with ACA DL/PL and CSIA Level II, III, or IV certifications. A post-secondary degree in Commerce or Business and at least 5 years of people management experience are required.
