About the Opportunity Are you an experienced payroll professional who enjoys keeping day-to-day operations running smoothly while contributing to meaningful HR initiatives? This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established organization in the real estate and property development sector during an important HRIS transformation. In this role, you'll partner closely with the HR team to ensure accurate payroll processing while supporting employees across a variety of HR functions. You'll play a key role in maintaining business continuity as the team transitions to a new HRIS platform, making a direct impact on both employees and organizational success. Your Responsibilities • You'll support the full-cycle, bi-weekly payroll process for approximately 250 hourly, salaried, and commission-based employees across multiple payrolls. • You'll maintain payroll records within the HRIS, including new hires, employee changes, leaves, and terminations. • You'll assist with payroll reconciliations, reporting, expense reimbursements, and employee payroll inquiries. • You'll support HR administration through onboarding coordination, employee records management, and benefits administration. • You'll contribute to HRIS implementation activities, including testing, data validation, and process improvement initiatives. Skills and Qualifications • 2+ years of progressive payroll administration experience, including full-cycle payroll ownership. • Experience with ADP Workforce Now or another large HRIS/payroll platform. • Working knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation, employment standards, and payroll best practices. • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas and data analysis. Macro experience is considered an asset. • Experience using a large payroll/HRIS system such as ADP or Ceridian. • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities. • Excellent communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. • Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation is considered an asset.
