As a Payroll Administrator, you’ll play an important role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time, allowing frontline and support teams to stay focused on the people they serve. You’ll join an 8-person payroll team within Finance, working in a collaborative, people-focused environment. This unionized role supports a bi-weekly payroll of Ontario-based employees across unionized and non-unionized groups. Your Responsibilities • You’ll process accurate, timely bi-weekly payroll and action payroll-related HR transactions. • You’ll apply collective agreements, organizational policies and payroll legislation accurately. • You’ll audit payroll data, calculate payments and complete required external reporting. • You’ll maintain benefit and pension records, process reconciliations, billings, remittances and contribution audits. • You’ll reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts, investigate variances and prepare journal entries, accruals and adjustments. • You’ll maintain accurate payroll documentation while handling sensitive employee information with discretion. Skills and Qualifications • 2 years of payroll experience, including year-end processing, benefits and pension reconciliations. • Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification is mandatory. • College diploma with an accounting major, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. • Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and experience with payroll and time management systems. • Strong organization, communication and customer service skills, with the ability to meet deadlines independently and maintain confidentiality. • French/English bilingualism is considered a strong asset.
