National Director of Health & Wellness Programs Location: Toronto GTA Job Type: Part-Time Consultant Expected Start Date: ASAP Compensation: Equivalent to $90,000–$110,000 annually, pro-rated based on approximately 10 hours per week Position Summary Prima Living is seeking an experienced healthcare leader to join our team as the National Director of Health & Wellness Programs. This role provides strategic clinical leadership, mentorship, and support across our retirement communities to enhance resident care, quality standards, and operational excellence. Working closely with executive leadership, Health & Wellness Managers, and operational teams, this position will support the implementation of consistent care practices, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives. Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities Provide coaching and mentorship to Health & Wellness Managers and operational leaders. Support the development and implementation of health and wellness strategies across Prima Living communities. Promote consistent clinical practices, quality improvement, and resident-centered care. Provide guidance on regulatory compliance, risk management, and clinical standards. Partner with leadership teams to identify challenges and implement solutions. Support policy development, program improvements, and strategic initiatives. Stay informed on industry trends, best practices, and legislative changes. What You Bring to the Table Education & Credentials Registered healthcare professional (RN preferred) with current registration where applicable. Additional education in healthcare leadership, gerontology, or related fields is an asset. Experience 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in retirement living, seniors’ care, long-term care, or healthcare operations. Experience leading multi-site clinical operations. Strong background in quality improvement, compliance, and team development. Knowledge & Skills Strong understanding of seniors’ care practices and regulatory requirements. Excellent leadership, communication, and coaching skills. Ability to collaborate with executive teams and influence positive change. Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities. Working Relationship This independent consulting role requires approximately 10 hours per week. The National Director of Health & Wellness Programs will collaborate with Prima Living leadership and Health & Wellness teams to support clinical excellence and continuous improvement across the organization.
