Key Responsibilities * Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently in the field * Willing to research difficult issues through manufacturers, online resources, technical support, and software updates * Strong work ethic with a “do not give up” attitude toward diagnosing and repairing equipment issues * Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision * Team player with strong communication skills * Flexible working hours and available for emergency service calls when possible * Must follow CVOR legislation including Hours of Service and daily vehicle inspections * Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently in the field * Ensure work is being performed in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with Amico’s health and safety standards/policies * Diagnose onsite the repairs required to ensure maximum uptime/productivity for the Amico Fleet as problems are reported by the field operations * Own and maintain proper tools required to perform basic repairs and maintenance * Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently in the field * Maintain quality workmanship and to repair the Amico Fleet in a cost-efficient manner * Prepare accurate service and repair reports in an accurate and timely manner * Accurately update field service work orders in a timely fashion with details of the repairs completed Key Qualifications * Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the repair of heavy equipment in the field and or shop * Post Secondary education in a field related to heavy equipment mechanics, truck and coach mechanics, diesel engine mechanics or related field. * Ability to evaluate, diagnose, and repair various hydraulic, electrical, or mechanical issues * Working knowledge of cutting, welding, and fabrication * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize requests from the field operations * Willing to work flexible shifts subject to the schedule of Amico’s field operations * Organized team player with the ability to work with a sense of urgency based on the priority of the project * Ability to communicate and work effectively with the field operations and support team * Experience working with various makes of construction equipment and support equipment * 421A license will be considered an asset * Valid Driver’s license with a clean Driver’s Abstract * Travel Requirements * Travel to worksites located in the GTA and Southwestern Ontario area as required.
