Tasks: Operate heavy equipment. Read blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements . Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks. Measure distance, volume, length and weight. Operate computer controlled equipment. Understand the purpose, proper usgage and information found on material safety data sheets (MSDS). Complete onboard and other logs. Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment. Prepare accident reports. Secure special attachments to equipment. Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment. Perform minor repairs to equipment. Operate hydraulic pumping systems. Maintain shift log of production and other data. Load and off-load machines. Inspect spills of hazardous chemicals or products. Hazardous products handling and storage. Carry out administrative and clerical activities (record keeping, scheduling etc.). Professionalism in customer service. Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery.
