ABOUT THE ROLE As a member of the Caledon site team, the Plant Operator executes the daily tasks of operating, maintaining and performing tasks related to an aggregate plant and equipment operation. In addition, the operator will assist and/or cover for shipping, rock truck, and bank loader as required. WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH * Ensure assigned equipment is operated to OEM guidelines and industry best practices. * Ensure that product outputs meet material quality specifications. * Complete, review, and execute daily, weekly, monthly, and annual operation reports and metrics. * Ensure that plant equipment and surrounding areas are kept presentable and functional. * Ensure daily, weekly, monthly, and preventative maintenance actions are scheduled and completed. * Maintain environmental sustainability in the site operation. * Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR * Education: Canadian secondary school diploma or equivalent. * Work Experience: Heavy mobile equipment operation/training is an asset. * Experience: Industrial plant operation/training is an asset. * Technical Skills: Computer literacy is an asset. Additional Requirements: * Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests. The Plant Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining aggregate plant equipment according to OEM guidelines and quality specifications. They also handle operational reporting, preventative maintenance, and provide coverage for shipping and loading roles.

Candidates must have a Canadian secondary school diploma or equivalent. Experience in industrial plant operation and heavy mobile equipment operation is considered an asset.
