Job Title: Ready Mix Driver | Req ID: 15714 | Location: Sault St Marie RM ON ABOUT THE ROLE Drive for the Premiere Ready-Mix Provider. We are looking for dedicated Class AZ or DZ drivers to join our team and be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of concrete to various job sites in and around the Sault Ste Marie & surrounding area. At Amrize Canada Inc., we pride ourselves on maintaining a "premiere" standard—from the quality of our concrete to the safety of our fleet. Hourly Wage to Start: $24.60/Hour Probationary Rate as per the collective agreement. WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH * Safely transport and deliver ready-mix concrete to the region’s most iconic infrastructure and residential projects. * Operate late-model, well-maintained Class AZ or DZ trucks (manual transmission), performing meticulous pre/post-trip inspections to ensure your vehicle is road-ready. * Act as a professional brand ambassador on-site, fostering strong relationships with our diverse customer base. * Champion a "Zero Harm" culture by adhering to strict health, safety, and environmental policies. * Perform daily inspections of assigned ready-mix trucks and document findings. * Load and unload concrete according to strict safety procedures and customer mix specifications. * Maintain digital/manual delivery logs and complete all necessary project paperwork. * Maintain constant, professional communication with Dispatch and Plant Personnel. * Perform minor routine maintenance and keep the cab and exterior of the vehicle clean. * Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR * Valid Class AZ or DZ Driver’s License with an Air Brake (Z) Endorsement. * Proven experience operating manual transmissions. * Previous experience in construction delivery or heavy vehicle operation is an asset. We do provide training and safety training for those new to the industry. * A clean driving record (CVOR/Abstract) and a rock-solid commitment to safety. * Ability to handle the physical demands of the role, including climbing truck ladders and lifting chutes. * Availability for Monday to Friday shifts, with Saturdays and evenings as required by our high-volume project schedule. * Must meet requirements for distance, peripheral, and depth perception to navigate busy construction sites. Additional Requirements: * Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
